In 2011, the first European symposium dedicated to spray cold ( EUCOSS2011 ) was held in Paris . This year , while the most important international conference on thermal spray processes (ITSC 2014) halted in Barcelona, the second symposium EUCOSS 2014 has been organized in the wake of this conference and hosted in Paris on the premises of MINES ParisTech . This event organized under the aegis of the COLD SPRAY CLUB was open to all. It was also the opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniverssary of the C2P (Competence Center for Spray Processes) at MINES ParisTech. It led to 16 oral communications given by high-level researchers from Europe, North America, Asia (France , Germany, England , China, Japan , Italy, Canada , Finland, Czech Rem;) and one table-top exhibition for manufacturers and applicators of the cold spray technology . With over sixty registered participants, the event was rich and allowed the European community gathered around the cold spray to exchange about the latest works in this growing field with the active support of researchers from other continents that were present. This symposium EUCOSS 2014 continued in the evening with the members of the COLD SPRAY CLUB for a club meeting outlining the progress of the research done within the COLD SPRAY CLUB . A discussion entitled ” Quo Vadis Cold Spraying ” ( topic title in honor of Professor Fauchais at the University of Limoges ) was opened with all of the experts and guest speakers.
